Training: Run
Thurs: 4.5 mi @ 5.95 mph. Use this great app for the iPhone: RunKeeper. Maps your path and logs your prog and pace. Works great. Also did 20 hanging crunches.
Well begun is job half done. Don't forget we are standing on the route with glass of water to encourage you. This is how I started my marshal arts classes and it has acted as an antidote during the days of my depression. I suggest joining a group to run with so that it becomes a more interactive.
This is all an experiment, both the blogging and the running. After a bitter, painful, and overly-dramatic end to an eight-year relationship, I decided that I should run a marathon. Twenty-six point two miles. Run. I don't run as part of my gym routine and never have. I'm 44 (yes, in years, you'd think I'd know better, huh?) and am going to do this...why blog about it? Cuz I can, I guess. I'm hoping for some encouragement and tips (have already gotten some from my good friend and Illinois State House candidate 2010, Greg Brownfield -- thanks man!).
So, that's me (well, a part of me that I want you to know about).
